THE ROUND CARDBAG

Hello everyone,

This time I created a round card on a bag. For the challenge of the Hobby Buddies where I  became recently a member,  asked for a round card. The MDUC wanted this time a decorated bag. So I came upon the idea to make my round cardbag. Something different, isn't it. I have this time chosen for vintage with lots of lace, pearls and bling, bling and of course old-fashioned red roses paper.

I post my card to:

Dutch Magnolia Lovers: Week 35 No Card
Midweeks MagnoliaWeek 17 Lovely Lace
Simply Magnolia:Garden Blooms and DT call

From my blogfriend KARIN I got the beautiful lace that is around the card and the butterfly die from Tim Holtz. On the blog of JOLANDA I saw a tutorial to make flowers with handmade paper. The result is the beautiful large white flower.

Used materials:

Stamps: Rose sent Tilda, and text stamps from Magnolia
Dies: doohikeys magnolia, Butterflies Tim Holtz and Joy
Paper: paper pad from Action Store and a brown paper bag
Flowers: handmade, and from the webshop Margo
Lace and pearls onw stock and Karin
Colored with Copics

Of course I would like to hear,  you  like my cardbag. For my newest followers on my blog welcome and nice that you  came along. Though it's still a bit early. For anyone already a very  nice weekend and in our region starts the summer vacation Friday. So for everyone who gets holiday a lot of holiday fun and let us hope that the weather is going to be a little better. Until next time.

WINTERWONDERLAND

Hello everyone,

This time from a wet and cold Holland an older card, which I had lying around, but never had use for a challenge. In Australia it is winter and so they have devised for their new challenge a card over the winter.

Although the summer should be with us, I have actually not really that feeling. It's still cold and wet and that give you not really a summer feeling. Only if I look in the garden and  I see all the plants and flowers,  I'm realizing it must be summer.

This card I made last year when I didn't competed in the challenges. I had seen on the blog of Camilla, that she had created a beautiful shakecard.  I made them also many years ago, when I was teaching on a cultural centre. I thought it was a nice idea and I have created a number of them about  the seasons.  This is the winter card and this one I can now use for the challenge of this week at the MDUC.

Used materials:

Stamps: Magnolia
Paper: from own stock and unknown
Flowers: handmade and from own stock
Colored: copics

I wish you all a nice weekend and untill next time, with love from Holland,

Dorothy

A GIFT FROM MY HEART

Hello everyone,

From the very hot and sunny Netherlands I welcome my new followers and thank everyone for all the great compliments that I received for The Pirates of Magnolia. One message was even more fun than the other, but there was one that I really loved and that was make me laughing very much. Martina from Austria wrote to me that she really liked the wonderful card. However, there was actually one thing .... and that was a person, who was missing ..... ...Johnny Depp. I also totally agree with her, especially those fantastic black eyes, but sorry Edwin pirate is Swedish and has blue eyes. So pity. Thank you very much for your original message Martina. Also thanks to Simply Magnolia for my place in the Top 3.

This time I have again created something completely different than previous times. There were several challenges that combine well with each other and this is the result. I am quite happy myself, because it's exactly as I had invented it. Something that not always succeeds. But that's a problem we all know, isn't it.
Het Moeder Hobby Paleis  asked to make something for a birthday inspired of this photo by Karin.

I post my gift heart to:

I have all the flowers handmade from old patterns, which I've ever designed as Pergamanoteacher. The flowers are all made from handmade paper from Nepal. The Pearl flowers I've made of nylon wire and pearls in different sizes and with D3 kit pasted. Delicious dirty work. The lace is all pleated by hand.

The butterflies are made with an unknown die and assembled with a stamen and paste pearls From various types of stamens I have made small bunches of flowers.

Used materials:

Paper: Magnolia sea of memories  (Rosegarden, Kitchen cloth red and green)
Stamps: Magnolia Summer Flower Tilda and text stamps
Doohickey: Magnolia strawberry leaf, unknown die butterflies
Flowers: handmade with handmade paper from Nepal
Pearls and lace, nylon wire from own stock
Coloured with Copics

This was my creation for this week. I hope you like my gift heart to and hear it of couse from you. Have a nice weekend and until next time.

Hi everyone,

Today I can show you at last my new card. The Pirates of Magnolia. I love those stamps and when I saw all the lovely cards in the new Magnolia Ink, I wanted to make a card with those stamps myself and all the things of the sea.
It was really a lot of work, because I made every detail in 3D technic, but I am very happy with the result. I hope you like it to and it is very nice to hear from you.

I wish you all a nice weekend and until next time.
